Are Wireless Keyboards Safe?

Safe from what? spelling coffee over them well no unless they have been specifically made. You can buy washable keyboards and some of them are coated in antimicrobial protection to prevent growth of bacteria just in case they are still a little wet after washing them. No what I want to mention very briefly relates to how safe they are when it comes to protecting passwords and other sensitive information. Did you know that there is code available that will let you decipher signals sent wirelessly between keyboard and PC. Which means that you can capture keystrokes made without having to revert to key logger software that cyber criminals would normally use if the PC was connected with hard wire. I just completed a risk review for a bank that will rename nameless all I will say is that they are no longer allowed to purchase wireless keyboards and have reverted back to hard wired keyboards, enough said about that :-)
