BBC iPlayer

I love the BBC iPlayer and was very happy to find out that the BBC will be opening up its player service to other content providers . Which will mean that we should see some foreign broadcasters – keep an eye out for future updates.

Social Networks Security – Easy To Break

Just a quick post today – had a call last night from a good friend she was a little upset that her Face book account had been violated. To be blunt it was her mistake – she did not protect her account well enough Facebook’s security procedures are weak, the secret questions part of their set up can easily be answered by friends within the social-networking site. The security questions used by Facebook to protect accounts are too plan easy to break. For goodness sake questions such as what is your mother’s maiden name and what street did you grow up on are no way near as strong as they should be, you have to have unique questions and answers to be sure that your accounts are safe. If your social network account does not give you unique questions then use their standard ones but don’t use the true answers be a little creative, OK so you may have to come up with a new maiden name for your mother – hey but it’s not rocket science and for goodness sake don’t write it down. Be safe and enjoy!
