Deleting a Facebook account is easy, however deleting it forever is not so easy.
A little while ago Internet users were getting a little bit annoyed when they realized that they could not delete a Facebook account.
Apparently Facebook thought that by offering to keep all the personal data associated with an account would be useful to the user, just in case the user changed their mind sometime in the future and wanted to join again.
First attempts to offer complete deletion was very confusing and even now the current process is hidden away in the help files. So to help you guys to completely remove your details from Facebook you can follow the simple steps below.
Remember
Don’t think that by clicking the settings button on the Facebook menu bar and then clicking on the Deactivate link at the bottom of the settings list will get rid of your account. All this does is to put your information into a suspended account preserving all your personal details just in case you change your mind and want to re-establish your account.
Step one
Okay let’s completely delete a Facebook account go to the main Facebook page and click the help link. The page will open then type delete into the search box and press return. Facebook will then display a set of instructions that explain what to do and what happens to your account please read these carefully and then proceed by clicking the here link at the end of the paragraph.
Step two
On the next screen, click the submit button, at the next screen type in the password associated with your account that’s going to be deleted and then type in the required capture words. Now you’ll only seconds away from deleting your Facebook account permanently. If you still want to delete your account click the okay button you will then see the Permanently Delete Account dialogue box. Click okay and you’re done. However please note that Facebook still retains your data for about 14 days. Do not try to log on during this period and on day 15 your Facebook account gets removed forever.
